Steelwork Fixings
Steelwork fixings are purpose-made malleable iron hook-bolt adapters that can securely grip the flange of most standard steel sections. Standard components can be assembled by the use of spanners, therefore there is no need to drill or weld on site keeping the cost of installation to a minimum. Primarily for secondary steelwork, the fixings enable beam to beam connections to be made quickly and easily on site.
The diversity of project applications that utilise Lindapter steelwork fixings is immense, a few of which are shown below.
Type A – Recessed Fixing
Type A clamp allows a fast steelwork fixing connection. It has a recessed top to hold the bolt head captive whilst the nut is tightened. The skirt prevents the clamp rotating during installation. Suitable for flanges up to 8°.
Type B – Flat Top Fixing
Type B allows a fast steelwork fixing connection without the need for onsite drilling or welding. It is a steelwork clamp with flat top which allows the bolt head or nut to be rotated. Suitable for use with all bolts, studs, tie rods and J-bolts, and flanges up to 8°.
Type AF – High Friction Clamp
The Type AF is a popular steelwork fixing connection with high load capacities. This high friction clamp has a recessed top to hold the bolt head captive whilst the nut is tightened. Can be combined with the Type CF. The skirt prevents the clamp rotating during installation. The tail of the Type AF spans across slotted holes. For flanges up to 10°.
Type AAF ‘All-In-One’ Clamp
The Type AAF is Lindapter’s flagship product, which is an adjustable version of the popular Type AF. This steelwork fixing connection is an innovative 2-part design that self-adjusts to suit a range of flange thicknesses. The low temperature SG iron provides resistance in cold environments where impact strength is important.
Type CF – High Friction Clamp
The Type CF allows a fast steelwork fixing connection. It is a high friction clamp which hooks over flanges of I-beams, angles and channels. Lindapter markings act as a unique anti-rotation device. Can be combined with all Lindapter Girder Clamp products including Type AF.
Type F9 – Flange Clamp
Flange Clamp for connecting all types of parallel running steelwork with flanges of the same width. Can be used with bolts or alternatively with threaded rod. Not suitable for tapered flanges.
